I recently came across BlogMap, a pretty cool service that enables you to geo code your blog and see how many bloggers are near you.
You can also see who they are and visit their blogs straight from the map. Here’s my blog map. Click on the number (not the map – now that’s intuitive) to see who’s blogging near me here in Seattle.
If only I could customize the look of it (i.e. make it less obtrusive), I might be tempted to stick it in my sidebar. I’m not sure if the zoom/pan tool is supposed to work, but I couldn’t get it to do anything. Maybe it’s IE only.
