Four Ways to Improve Your Writing

At its heart, the web has always been and will always be about content. Well, that content has to get written by someone. Communitelligence.com has posted a nice 4-point list of “ways to improve your writing”:http://www.communitelligence.com/blps/blg_viewart.cfm?bid=65&artID=345.
Namely:

# Be a student of good writing
# Read good writing
# Read with a writer’s eye
# Expand your vocabulary
I’m a strong proponent of #4 — for example, today on a podcast I learnt the word “_recidivist_”:http://www.answers.com/recidivist&r=67, although how I’ll use it in a blog about web design, I have no idea.
Finally, here’s a quote for bloggers to live by:
bq. Good writing is built on precision, which comes from careful word choice. Words are the primary tools we have to work with. Treat them with care.
