Here’s an entertaining ad that pokes fun at us creative types. But it’s the web designer segment (0:44) that most entertains.
When I grow up I want to be a web designer. A freak. Use terms nobody understands. And convince myself I’m no longer the geek I was in high school.
Ouch!
brilliant 😉
I think they meant to say web developer, not designer. There is a difference. I’m a developer and I can relate to that.
*Ed* – maybe so!
Of course, the practice of using terms nobody understands is not limited to our professions — just look at all the varieties of “Bullshit Bingo”:http://www.bullshitbingo.net/ that exist.
On the other hand, tech folks do tend to be worse than most for this…
Definitely fun to watch. Insightful.
I think the term web designer/developer is used in the same context a lot of the time. I am a designer and a developer and know very few designers (still working today) that dont do both. If you cant code it, you cant really design it.
